PPE Lockers (Personal Protection Equipment)

Employers not only need to provide, replace and pay for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), they also need to provide suitable storage for it too, to protect it from loss or damage. These employer obligations are all part of the Personal Protective Equipment at work regulations 1992 - part 5.

Naturally as an employer you want the PPE that you have invested in to be kept safe and secure. PPE can range from respirators to protective gloves, clothing, footwear and eyewear.

At Shelving Store, all our PPE Lockers are made from robust, resilient steel with welded frames, reinforced doors and a choice of Standard Key Lock, supplied with 2 keys, or Hasp & Staple Lock for you to add a padlock.
Master keys are optional for Standard Key Locks, Coin-Operated Locks and number finding shims for Combination Locks.

Each locker has air vents so it can ‘breathe’, plus the mandatory high visibility PPE label with a name plate holder conforming to BS5499-1.

There are optional seats, stands, plus sloping tops to prevent rubbish being discarded above.
But what comes as standard with PPE lockers from Shelving Store is that they have Activecoat an anti-bacterial powder coating which seals the steel to impede mould, fungi, algae and harmful bacteria, reduce cross-contamination and reduce the MRSA Superbug (Staphylococcus Aureus) and E-coli (Escherichia Coli) by 99%.
